Summer adventures start here

AAt Outdoor Discovery we have become well know for our summer camps. We believe that the summer should be filled with fun, exciting and maybe challenging activities! 2010 sees the introduction of our fantastic NEW Adventure Sports Summer Camp in Mercy Secondary School in Ballymahon in July along with the Kayaking Camps we run around the midlands.

Where?Adventure Sports Camp is in Mercy Secondary School, Ballymahon. Kayaking Camps are in Various locations.

Age Group:

Our Adventure Sports Camp is suitable for children from 6 through 13. The Kayaking Camps are suitable for people from 10 years of age

Safety:

Our lead instructors are all qualified in their respective sports and have gone through Garda vetting and Code of ethics course. We maintain an incredibly high standard of safety in all our activities.

Adventure Camp dates - July 5th - 9th 2010 & July 12th - 16th 2010 in Ballymahon

Some Adventure Camp Activities:

  • Whitewater Rafting down the Inny River
  • Whitewater Tubing down the Inny River
  • Kayaking on the Royal Canal
  • Canoeing on the Royal Canal
  • Archery on the sports field
  • Orienteering in the wonderful Newcastle Woods or around the school
  • Rock Climbing on our portable climbing wall at the school
  • Lots more activities too

  • Learn all the Irish Canoe Union Level 2 Kayaking Skills 
  • Play lots of kayaking skills games
  • Explore the Canal or lakel
  • Cook sausages and Marshmallows over a camp fire
  • Make loads of new friends
  • Learn how to be safe in the water
  • Pass your Level 2 kayaking skills award
