Gaisce Adventure Journey

GGaisce has become synonomous with schools over the last 20 years. Many schools have students working towards Bronze, Silver and Gold. We can help with your Physical Recreation and Adventure journey requirements be it an over night journey for the bronze award or a multiday adventure for the gold

Where?Our Journeys take place in many locations throughout the country. We ensure the participants plan and organise everything. Our Skills coaching can be brought to your school.

Group Size:

There is a minimum group size for this of 4 people. We can cater for smaller groups but the cost per person is more expensive.

How Long?

They can be as long as you want as long as you meet the requirements set out by Gaisce.

Some suggestions for the Adventure Journey:

  • Kayak across Lough Ree and stay overnight on an island

  • Canoe across Lough Ree and stay overnight on an island

  • Walk the Wicklow way staying in a youth hostel overnight

  • Paddle the Royal canal

  • Walk the Royal Canal

  • Play some games along the way and have lots of fun

    • Some suggestions for Physical Recreation and personal skills

  • Learn to Kayak or Canoe
  • Learn to Orienteer and take part in some competitions
  • Learn Archery

    • Equipment we can provide:

  • Kayak/Canoe, Paddle, Helmet, Buoyancy Aid, Cag, Wetsuit, Spraydeck, Archery equipment, Maps, Compasses etc
