Family adventures start here

AAt Outdoor Discovery we believe that a day out with the family should be fun, exciting and maybe a bit challenging! On one of our Family fun days you will feel all these emotions.

Where?It takes place around the Athlone and Ballymahon area in the Midlands or we can take our activities to your loaction

Group Size:

There is a minimum group size for this of 4 people. We can cater for smaller groups but the cost per person is more expensive.

Accomodation:

Stay with one of our accomodation partners we can arrange it all for you

Some Family Adventures:

  • Whitewater Rafting
  • Whitewater tubing
  • A guided Kayaking or Canoeing tour of Lough Ree or the Royal Canal
  • A beginners course in Kayaking or Canoeing
  • Maybe you see yourselves as modern day Robin Hoods - Archery is great fun
  • Wander or race around our Orienteering course in the wonderful Newcastle Woods
  • Your adventure is yours to design, you can choose from any of our activities but here are some samples

    Sample Family fun day

  • Kayaking on the Canal in the morning followed by Whitewater tubing after Lunch
  • Take part in your own family Archery Tournament followed by Orienteering
  • Take a quick Canoeing lesson then take your picnic and explore the beauty of the Royal Canal
  • The list goes on so call us to discuss your exact requirements or join us on one of our regular family fun days
