Introduction to Whitewater PDF Print E-mail
In this kayaking course for advanced beginners, we teach and refine the techniques needed to paddle a kayak safely and confidently on grade II rivers. Before taking this kayaking course, you should have at least five to ten days previous kayaking experience. Whether your goal is to use grade II as a stepping stone to kayaking more difficult whitewater or as a destination in itself, the skills taught in this course will serve you well.
We work on teaching and refining your maneuvering skills, including break in/outs ferry gliding, self rescue and basic surfing.
Goal of the course

To introduce the grade I-II level kayaker to moving water and to teach and refine their skills, move to the next level of the sport and begin to explore the delights of whitewater rivers.
