Outdoor Discovery is an adventure education company that is commited to bringing adventure sports education to people in the midlands and surrounding areas of Ireland. Starting out as a specialised provider of Kayaking and Canoeing courses we have branched out into other activities and can cater for larger groups. We run a number of kayaking and Adventure sport summer camps for kids throughout the summer months in Tullamore, Athlone, Ballymahon, Sallins, Carrick-on-shannon and Mullingar. Alex Stanley runs the business and is helped by his wife Edel. Both have been heavily involved in kayaking over the years with Edel playing on the Irish Canoe Polo Team and competing in both European and World Championships. Alex Stanley - Head InstructorAlex has been paddling for the past 20 years and over that time has tried every form of kayaking available. He has competed at international level in Canoe Polo for Ireland and Managed the Irish Canoe Polo team at the World Championships in Nagoya, Japan in 2004. For the most part though he has been instructing kayaking all over Ireland on the countries rivers and lakes.
