Whitewater Kayaking is so much fun and can provide a great adrenaline rush. This whitewater course is for people who are paddling at a level 3 skills level and want to progress and a set a target for level 4 kayaking. If in doubt just give us a call. On the course we teach and refine the techniques needed to paddle a kayak safely and confidently on grade 3 whitewater rivers.
Here is some of what the Level 4 Whitewater Kayaking Course contains:
We review your equipment for you and recommend and explain what else might be required
Talk about safety on the water: The Flow, Hazards on the river, Weather, Kayaking Experience,
Cover the following paddling strokes: Bow rudders, Hanging Draw, Low Brace Turn, Low & High Braces
Cover the following techniques: Breaking in & out, Fast Ferrys, S turns,
We introduce some newer progressive paddling techniques: Lateral Momentum, Body Tension, Positive Paddle Pressure
It takes place on a grade 2/3/4 river depending on the participants. We use the Inny River in Ballymahon as our local run for grade 2 and other rivers throughout the country for grade 3 and 4.
Group Size:
There is a minimum group size for this of 3 people. We can cater for smaller groups but the cost per person is more expensive.

It's a 1 or 2 day course depending on your requirements come prepared to discuss your requirements.
